    This is a question best answered by a medical professional. We know of no harmful effects on the human body today. Research into the effects and benefits are ongoing by medical specialists.

    Consider that MRI diagnostic equipment establishes a static magnetic field across an object that aligns the magnetic moments of hydrogen in the exposed volume. This can be done with relatively low fields, and some commercial units operate with a field intensity as low as 800 G, although fields to 5 kG are needed for high resolution. In the process, the static field is overpowered momentarily by an RF pulse, which lets the hydrogen align randomly again. When the RF pulse turns off, the time for the hydrogen to realign in the static field is measured, and an image is constructed from this data. The point is that no negative or positive effects have been reported due to this static field or the strong RF pulses, so we presume that magnetic fields are benign.
